Creating a Spin-off website to capture a niche market
Jon Pickard is a talented local musician and he has a large and successful website for his music and playing, but wanted to build a specific site to target the wedding musician part of his business.
We worked with him to choose a domain name that was easy to remember, reflected him and his skill, and also was connected to a core keyword to aid SEO.
We had free reign on the design – the brief was to be attractive to engaged couples looking for wedding music.
We think we nailed a combination of really easy to read and navigate, quite classic in style but with a colour scheme that felt current and classic all at once.
There is an extensive video and audio archive and we included specific plugins to help avoid slow page speed with such a large volume of content.
