terms & Conditions

We aim to be transparent and ethical in the way we conduct our business. We think it’s useful to be up front about what we include and what we don’t include in our projects.

These terms & conditions govern the agreement between Webzang Ltd (“we,” “us,” or “our”) and the user (“you” or “your”) for the provision of website design and related services. By engaging our services, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions.

1. Scope of Services

• We will provide website design and related services as outlined in the proposal/estimate and further discussed with you.
• This includes but is not limited to responsive design, SSL certificate installation, security setup, future-proof design, being SEO-ready, privacy policy page and cookie plugin, premium theme with lifetime updates, tutorials & training, and 14 days of bug fixes from go-live date.
• Unless otherwise stated, website design does NOT include: copywriting, image sourcing, logo/branding design, or search engine optimisation (SEO).

2. Hosting

• Our hosting is powered by 100% renewable energy.
• If you use our hosting services we include: SSL certificate, domain authentication, daily backups, and email forwarding via POP.
• If you use your own hosting, we can’t take responsibility for any hosting-related functions or compatibility with your site.
• Should you fall into arrears with your annual hosting payments, you may find your website is switched off until payments are met.

3. Security & Trust

• We include security plugins with anti-spam, anti-malware, firewall, and regular site scans. Premium security options are available for additional protection at an additional cost.
• We take website and hosting security very seriously and always ensure we use mega-secure passwords and safeguard your info.
• You can always trust us to adhere to the highest standard of data privacy for your data and the data you hold on your customers.

4. Plugins

• Wherever possible we use free and industry-standard plugins.
• We recommend that you make regular plugin updates. On occasion, these can cause conflicts with the site and cause issues. We can help in this instance but any fixes may be subject to an additional fee after the site has gone live.
• We encourage you to purchase any premium plugins directly so you are in full control of the subscription. We can purchase plugins on your behalf with a 10% fee.

5. Premium Theme & Builder

• We build all our websites with the premium theme Divi that comes with lifetime updates.
• This also has a page builder that is easy to use and update in future.

6. Privacy Policy and Cookie Banner

• We include a privacy policy page for free on all websites and can provide information about how to easily generate one. Having a privacy policy is a legal requirement on all UK sites.
• We also install a cookie banner plugin in compliance with GDPR.

7.  Website Design

•  Branding and logo design is not included in the build, however, we will provide colour palette (based on your logo if you have one) and appropriate typography.
• Should you require specific fonts for the project, you are responsible for paying for and providing the files.
• We ensure that the website is responsive across various devices. We aim to be compatible on desktop, tablet and mobile. It is impossible to check every single device so please inform us if you notice any strange layouts on your device.
• Our design approach allows for easy transformation of the website’s look without the need for a complete rebuild.

8. Content and Assets

• You agree to provide the necessary content and assets required for the website design process promptly. This includes all text required for all pages.
• Any images provided by you (or sourced by us) will be used with your approval. It is your responsibility to ensure that you own outright or have permission from the copyright holder for use on your website. Copying images off the web or other public domain areas does not constitute the right to use images.

9. Search Engine Optimization

•  Basic good SEO practices will be implemented, including strategic headers, mobile-friendly design, image optimization, fast page load times, and social media integration.
• The site will then be SEO-ready.
• SEO optimisation is not included as standard on our sites unless stated in the estimate.

10. Advanced Website Optimization

• We utilise Lightspeed Cache for faster page loads and improved user experience.
• We ensure our sites are fast on handover but further development with unoptimised images and adding extra design and plugins can cause site speeds to slow down.

11. Tutorials & Training

• We include training on how to update your website with all stakeholders required.
• We undertake the training on Zoom, record the session, upload it to a private link and so you can refer to it in future.
• Further training sessions after the first 6 months will be charged at our hourly rate.

12. Bug Fixes

• We offer 14 days of bug fixes after the website’s go-live date. After this date any bug fixes will be chargeable at through pay as you go web support hours.

13. Payment Terms

• Payment terms are all projects under £500, and any hours packs should be paid up front before any work begins.
• For projects over £500, the cost is split 50% upfront and 50% on completion/go live.
• Payment terms are invoice is due on the invoice date.
• We are happy to arrange other payment plans on a case-by-case basis.
• Failure to settle any invoices may result in your website being switched off.

14. Intellectual Property

• The website is your intellectual property and you have full ownership at all times.

15. Termination

• Either party may terminate the agreement with written notice if the other party breaches the terms outlined herein.
• Should you be unhappy with our work, your first action should be to notify us and let us put things right.
• Should you wish for a refund of any service please contact us immediately and outline your needs. If we have undertaken work that follows the brief and is deemed satisfactory you may not be eligible for a refund.
• We aim for 100% customer satisfaction so please always tell us if you are not happy.
