Raves from the Grave

Raves from the Grave had a massive ecommerce site which experienced frequent outages and weird glitches. It was a custom-coded WordPress site but the custom code was very outdated and referring to deprecated code in the other plugins. This meant that it was no longer fir for purpose, and also was due a design refresh.

We created a super simple minimal monochrome design with just a tiny pop of colour (bright orange!) that had a similar layout and structure to the original site, but fully responsive and with a modernised feel.

The real work was with the Woocommerce data migration. With any old/custom code site, it is best practice to do a completely fresh install of WordPress to strip out old code that clutters up the database. This means we have to manually migrate all the e-commerce and plugin data: customers, orders, and over 20,000 products.

Some of the plugins were also outdated or no longer supported and we added some new fresh functionality as well to start to future-proof the website. 

We continue to work with Raves from the Grave to keep the website tweaked and updated and adding new functionality where required.
